Upgrade the Excel Add-in to benefit from the new features in the latest version.
Ensure that your system meets all requirements and prerequisites before you upgrade to the latest version of the Excel Add-in.
When you upgrade the Add-in, it retains your authentication type (either Single Sign-on or basic authentication). If you want to change your authentication type, do not upgrade. Instead, follow the procedure to install the Add-in.
Open the Excel Add-in Setup wizard
The Excel Add-in Updater displays when you open Excel if you are not using the latest version of the Excel Add-in. Click Install now to upgrade.
If you've previously selected Remind me later, you can also open the Excel Add-in Updater from the Help menu:
- Click the Anaplan tab in Excel.
- Click the arrow below Help.
A list of help options display.
- Click Check for Updates...
The Excel Add-in Updater displays.
- Click Install now.
Alternatively, you can download and then run the latest installer for the Excel Add-in from the Downloads page.
Whichever of the three above methods you use, the Excel Addin Setup wizard displays.
Install the Excel Add-in
Once you've opened the Excel Addin Setup wizard, install the Excel Add-in to complete your upgrade.
- Click the ellipsis (…) button to select a directory to install the Excel Add-in to.
- Click Next.
The End-User License Agreement displays.
- Read and accept the terms in the license agreement, then select Agree to License.
The Install button becomes active.
- Click Install.
The latest version of the Add-in installs.
The next time you open a workbook in Excel, the Anaplan tab displays at the top of the screen.
If you cannot see the Anaplan tab, enable the Add-in.
