Model builders use lists to group related items in a model. Each model contains two default lists: Organization and Users.

Use default lists as dimensions in your model.

Note: You cannot delete default lists.

Organization list

Use the Organization list to hold your organization details, or you can rename it and use it as a template for another list.

The top level item Total Company in the Organization list represents the highest level in a list and summarizes your data. If you add list items to Organization, each list item rolls up to Total Company.

Users list

The Users list contains all users with access to your model. 

It does not display in General Lists in the model settings bar. Select Users in the model settings bar to manage the Users list. Learn more in Control user access within models.

Note: You cannot add list properties or a top level item to the Users list.

The Users list is a production list for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), which prevents the use of list items in formulas. Learn more in Formula Reference Protection for Production Lists.
