  4. Current Period, Current version, and page selectors

Model builders use page selectors to navigate pages and filter the data in a module.

If your module includes Time or Versions on Pages, the page selector value matches the model's current period or current version by default.

If you select a different value in a Time or Versions page selector, then reopen the module or dashboard without closing the model, the new values persist. If you close the model, the values revert to the current period or current version by default.

Time

For example, if your model's current period is set to Jan 21, the Time page selector defaults to Jan 21 when you first open the module. You can define the Current Period in Time in the model settings bar.

Versions

For example, if your model's current version is set to Forecast, the Versions page selector defaults to Forecast when you first open the module. You can choose a Current version in Versions in the model settings bar.

Note: When you configure page selectors on dashboards, you can change the default value for Time and Versions page selectors in Selection Options > Initial Page.
