Connections enable you to analyze your Anaplan data in Excel. You can also save your data changes to Anaplan via read-write connections in the Add-in.
When you use a connection in Excel, do not merge header cells. This can result in cells not updating when you refresh the connection.
Note:
- There is a limit of 1,000,000 cells per worksheet and 1,000,000 list items. However, there is no limit to the number of worksheets you can use to display Anaplan data in a workbook.
- Subsidiary views aren't available. You can connect to a module with subsidiary views in it, but the Excel Add-in will detect these and filter them out.
- You can rename your connection at any time. When you create a connection, it is given a unique guid that remains constant.
You can choose to apply Anaplan styles and formatting in a worksheet when you create a new connection. However, you need to apply either all Anaplan styles and formatting, or not apply any Anaplan formatting at all.
