  4. Change the default settings

In series 3 of the Excel Add-in, use Settings to change your default settings for your connections between your Anaplan model and the Excel Add-in.

To change the default settings for the Excel Add-in:

  1. Select the Anaplan tab in Excel.
  2. Click Settings.
    The Settings dialog displays.
  3. Select or deselect the following settings:
    • Keep Excel Formatting:
      This setting ensures cell formatting for Excel is retained.
    • Apply Anaplan Styling:
      This setting ensures that Anaplan styles are applied to your data.
      The styles can include cell borders, cell colors, or font colors.
    • Insert New Items on Refresh (excluding saved views):
      This setting ensures that any new dimension items added to the module in Anaplan, are automatically added in Excel upon refresh.
      However, this setting does not apply to worksheets connected to saved views.
    • Show or Hide connection details:
      Select this setting to display connection details in the worksheet.
  4. Click OK.
    The default settings are applied to your connection(s).
