  4. Uninstall the Add-in

Uninstall series 3 of the Excel Add-in to remove it from your computer.

If you don't want to permanently remove the Add-in, you can disable it instead. If you disable the Add-in, it will remain installed on your computer, but the Anaplan tab will be hidden in Excel until you enable it again.

Note: These instructions explain how to uninstall the Add-in using Windows 10. If you're using a different version of Windows, the process may be slightly different. See Microsoft Support(opens external page) for more information.

Before you start, close Excel completely. Remember to save any workbooks you may have open before closing them.

To uninstall the Excel Add-in:

  1. Click the Start button.
    The Windows Start menu displays.
  2. Select the settings cog icon.
    The Settings window displays.
  3. Click Apps.
  4. Click Apps & features.
  5. In the list of apps and features, click Anaplan Excel Add-In.
  6. Click Uninstall.
    The uninstall dialog displays.
  7. Click Uninstall.
  8. Click Yes.

During the uninstall process for version 3.0, you may see a notification that asks you to install C++. If you see this message, visit our Customer Care pages for guidance on resolving this issue. If you still experience issues after following this advice, contact Anaplan Support.

We may update our documentation occasionally, but will only do so in a way that does not negatively affect the features and functionality of the Anaplan service.
