Upgrade your Excel Add-in to benefit from the new features in the latest version.
If you can upgrade to the latest version of the Excel Add-in, an upgrade notification displays automatically when you log in. Otherwise, you must download the Excel Add-in from the downloads page and then install the Add-in.
Ensure that your system meets all requirements and prerequisites before you upgrade to the latest version of the Excel Add-in. Remember that you can have version 2.6 installed alongside version 3.0 or above.
When you upgrade the Add-in, you do not need to select your authentication type again. Your choice to use Single Sign-on or your Anaplan login details is inherited from the previous version.
Note: If you want to change your authentication type, do not upgrade. Instead, follow the procedure to install the Add-in.
To upgrade to the latest version of the Excel Add-in:
- In the Excel Add-in Updater, click Yes.
The setup wizard launches.
- Click Next.
The End-User License Agreement displays.
- Read and accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next.
- Choose an installation type, and click Next.
Choose Only for me to install the Add-in for the current user account only.
Choose Everybody to install the Add-in for all user accounts on the computer.
- Optionally, click Browse and navigate to where you would like the Add-in to be installed. Then click OK.
- Click Next.
- Click Install.
The Add-in installs.
- When the installation is complete, click Finish.
The Add-in is upgraded to the latest version.
The next time you open Excel, the Anaplan tab will display at the top of the screen, and you can log in.
If you cannot see the Anaplan tab, you might need to enable the Add-in.
