  3. Versions
  4. Set up switchover dates for rolling forecasts

Model builders can combine actual data with forecast data on a switchover date to create a rolling forecast.

Note: Switchover dates do not relate to your model’s Current Period in Time in the model settings bar.

For example, you can view actual data for Q1 sales (Jan 20, Feb 20, and Mar 20) in the table below. Bold values in Sales represent editable data.

At the switchover date (Apr 20), actual data merges with forecast data for Q2 sales. Bold values in Sales represent editable data.

Warning: If actual data is available before the switchover date, it replaces any forecast data.

To set up a switchover date:

  1. Select Versions in the model settings bar.
  2. Set a switchover date for your version in the Switchover column.
Note: You cannot set a switchover date for the Actual version in your model.
