September 2022 releases and October sneak peek

We're excited to have launched some great new features in September, including new algorithms for PlanIQ, split view in the modeling experience, and enhancements to the user experience.

View two model objects side-by-side to see real-time comparisons and updates whilst interacting with your model

Right-click on a tab and select “Open Split View” in the drop-down. Check out Tab split view in action in this video. 

View modules used in a UX page in the new ‘modules’ tab in the right-hand panel of the pages interface. Click on a source module to open it in a separate tab. See this video for how to view modules used in a page. 

Fast, advanced statistical forecasting with feature importance, providing insights on how and which drivers most impact forecast results. Based on statistical forecasting technique of regression, this new capability enables you to accurately predict a dependent variable based on multiple independent variables. Automatically use the best forecast algorithm for each forecasted entity (e.g. SKU, cost center, location) to deliver more accurate forecasts with ease. For more information see this blog post or Anapedia.

We’ve enhanced Anaplan Optimizer to allow planners to access partial results in case of a time-out, without having to change optimizer action settings. This will enable users to save time while being able to still review and leverage some of the results as applicable.

Text cards on Boards and Worksheets have been updated to allow you to add static text, including rich text formatting capabilities, alongside data from the model. This card is already available on the report page today and, based on popular demand, we have now added it to the other page types in the UX. It’s also supported on the Anaplan Mobile app.

• Dynamic content - change the numbers or narrative on your page based on the region, product or time period selected.
• Format - format your text on the page to emphasise key points or improve the look and feel. Including bold, italic, underline, font sizes and colours.

Users can see and navigate to views and line items used in a page.

Faster and more intuitive formula building experience.

Builders will be able to dictate whether an action button in the UX can or can't be clicked based on the status of a Boolean line item within their model. This can be used to ensure complex processes can only be triggered if all required data is correctly provided, or to limit actions to certain situations, for example limit sales promotions only to products where you hold enough stock. If you can model the logic to drive a Boolean to be true or false, then you can use this to drive the clickability of an action button.
