You may want to export a security profile to a CSV for audit purposes. 

You may also export it as a template to create an import file to import multiple security profiles.

To export a security profile:

  1. Navigate to the Security module.
  2. Select the Security Profile Access tab.
  3. Select the profile to export from the drop list in the upper left.
  4. Select the Export icon in the toolbar. The Export to File dialog appears.
  5. Select a delimiter for the CSV file (comma, semicolon, or pipe).
  6. Select OK to export the security profile to a CSV; otherwise choose Cancel to cancel the action.

The security profile columns to be exported to a CSV file:

ProfileThe name of the profile.
RoleThe name of the role.
DimensionThe name of the dimension.
Hierarchy

The name of the hierarchy within the dimension.

If blank, this indicates it’s the default hierarchy.

MemberThe name of the member.
Relationship

The relationship to the member:

  • Self and Descendants
  • Self and Children
  • Self
  • Children
  • Descendants
Allow

Whether the access is granted or denied for the member:

  • Allow - indicates access is granted
  • Deny - indicates access is denied
