Enable Anaplan Analyst

Analyst automatically queries across all of the models associated with an application. Before enabling Analyst for an application, review model roles, model access, selective access, and Dynamic Cell Access (DCA) to confirm that the underlying models are safe to expose.

Analyst uses the information in the application’s models to formulate responses. Before enabling Analyst, you may want to review modules to ensure that they use descriptive naming, and that the necessary business context is included in line item Notes fields. 

If you enabled Analyst in applications prior to 28 September 2026, refer to this Community article before re-enabling Analyst in those applications. It includes important information about this situation.

To enable Anaplan Analyst:

1. Select Agent Studio from the navigation menu.
2. Select Analyst. You can see a list of applications for which Analyst is enabled. 
3. To enable Analyst for a new application, select Add app. Select the application for which you want to enable Anaplan Analyst. Select Add.
4. Once enabled, the button on the user’s navigation bar opens Analyst. All users with access to an enabled app will have access to Analyst.

To remove Analyst access for an application, select it from the list and select Remove.
