You can clone an Anaplan Data Orchestrator link to an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) model. When you clone a link, this action creates a child link of the parent link you cloned.

You can only clone a link to an ALM model in deployed mode.

Data Orchestrator links can only be created with models that are in standard mode. If your models use ALM and you want to push data to a model in deployed mode, you can clone the link to the ALM model in deployed mode.

You can clone a single link or multiple links at the same time to a deployed ALM model.

To clone a link to an ALM model:

  1. Find the link you want to clone on the Links inventory screen.
  2. Select the ellipsis to the right of the link row. 
  3. Select Clone to ALM models.
  4. Select a deployed model from the Model dropdown in the dialog, and then select Clone to ALM models.

You can clone multiple links at the same time to a deployed ALM model. To clone multiple links at the same time:

  • All the selected links must have the same source model.
    To determine if your links have the same source model, use the filter in the toolbar, expand the Models section, and select the source model. The source model used displays in the Location column on the Links inventory screen.
  • The target model must be an ALM model that's associated with the source model.

To clone multiple links to an ALM model:

  1. Select the links you want to clone from the Links inventory screen.
  2. Select the Clone to ALM models icon  in the toolbar.
  3. Select a deployed model from the Model dropdown in the dialog, and then select Clone to ALM models.

When you clone a parent link, the clone becomes a child link of the parent.

To determine if a link is a child link, a checkmark displays in the Child column on the Links inventory screen. 

To view the Child column, scroll to the right of the Links inventory screen. If the column is hidden, select  Edit columns to the right of the toolbar, and then select the Child column.

To view information about the parent link, select the child link row. The parent details display in the Parent section of the Details tab on the right-side panel.
