Choose a dataset input
After you create a link, choose a dataset input that imports into the object destination you created a link for.

- Derived: Datasets that have been transformed. These datasets display on the Transformation views page.
- Select the Source data columns you want to map to the destination model objects.
- Optionally, use these settings to help you with the mapping:
- Auto map columns: Automatically lets Data Orchestrator select the source data columns for you.
- Clear all mappings: Removes the selected source data columns.
- Refresh mappings: This setting resyncs the link with the model object, and updates the target columns that are available if the model object has changed. Note that you are unable to refresh the mappings for child links.
- Select Continue.
Update dataset mappings
You can update the dataset mappings for your links.
To update the dataset column mappings:
- Find the link with the dataset you want to update on the Links inventory screen.
- Select the dataset link from the Dataset column.
- Select the Source data columns you want to map to the target model objects.
- Select Continue.
Clear dataset input and change the dataset
You can clear the dataset input to change the dataset. If you clear the input, it also removes the dataset mappings.
To clear the input:
