Use the Settings form to view and manage system-level configurations for Anaplan's Financial Consolidation and Reporting application.
While you can configure many settings, some fields are for information only, such as application version. You can contact Anaplan Support to modify specific settings, such as adding the Transaction Matching module to your platform.
Access the form
- Select the Maintain module.
- Select Settings from the Administration card.
The settings include:
| Setting | Description |
| Account Netting | Set to Net Details or Reverse Details to determine how accounts are netted.
Both the Net Details and Reverse Details options support multiple-source accounts and parent accounts for netting. If you leave this setting blank, the system uses the legacy netting calculation with a single-source account. |
| AccountRecModule | Shows if Account Reconciliation is part of the platform. This is a non-editable information field. |
| AccountRecModuleRelease | Shows the version for Account Reconciliation. This is a non-editable information field. |
| AllowMemberNamesWithLeadingZeroes | Avoid leading zeroes in member names. They can cause issues, such as import or export errors, when using CSV files with Anaplan XL Reporting. If you permit leading zeroes, you override the strongly recommended naming convention and assume responsibility for any problems that happen. |
| AuditRetainDays | Sets the number of days the system will keep audit trail logs before deleting them. Enter a whole number, such as 90 or 365. |
| AutoGenerateConsolidationCode | Determines if the system automatically creates a unique code for each consolidation process. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| ClonedFrom | Shows the name of the original model that this model was copied from. This is a non-editable information field. |
| ClonedOn | Shows the date and time when this model was copied. This is a non-editable information field. |
| CommandFileTemplate | Defines a default template for command files that are used in automated processes. |
| ConsolidationCode_LastUpdate | Shows the date and time when the consolidation code was last updated. This is a non-editable information field. |
| ConsolidationModuleRelease | Shows the version number of the consolidation module you're currently using. This is a non-editable information field. |
| ConsolidationVersion | Shows the overall version of the financial consolidation application. |
| CurrentTheme | Sets the visual theme for the user interface, such as its colors and fonts. Choose a theme name, such as Anaplan or Default. |
| HierarchyMaxDepth | Defines the maximum number of levels in your hierarchies. The default depth is 16, and the maximum allowed is 30. |
| JESecurity | Turns security rules for journal entries (JEs) on or off. When enabled, users can access journals only based on their permissions. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| LogProcessDebugMessages | Tells the system to record detailed technical messages when a process runs. This is useful for troubleshooting. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| MatchingModuleRelease | Shows the version number of the intercompany matching module. This is a non-editable information field. |
| MatrixConsolidationSegment | Confirms that a segment dimension exists and eliminates intercompany transactions using the elimination member defined in the Segment dimension. |
| MatrixConsolidationPartnerSegment | Confirms a PartnerSegment dimension exists and eliminates transactions using the elimination members defined in MatrixConsolidationSegment dimension. If you leave MatrixConsolidationPartnerSegment blank, the system determines the partner segment. It derives the entity from the intercompany relationship. It then uses the default segment attribute assigned to that Entity dimension member as the partner segment. |
| MetadataAuditTrail | Turns the audit trail for changes to the model's structure on or off, such as adding an account or changing a hierarchy. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| ModelSecurity | Turns security on or off for the entire model. If it's off, all users can see everything. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| MultiLanguageSupport | Turns on or off the ability to use multiple languages in the application. Set the value to a comma-separated list of languages, such as fr,de,es,es for French, German (Deutsch), and Spanish (Espanol). |
| RatesDecimalDisplay | Controls decimal precision on specific web forms. The default is set to 4 decimal places and applies to specific forms:
|
| SendCommentTagsToDataSource | Set the value to a comma-separated list of data source names where XL3 comment tags should be sent. The data source names must match the connection strings defined in the Data Sources page. This allows you to route comment tags to external platforms such as Slack or Microsoft Teams. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| SendCommentTagsToEmail | Determines if the system sends an email notification when a user is tagged in a comment. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| UseOptimizedGroupDimensionFiltering | Turns on a more efficient method for filtering large dimensions, which can make reports load faster. Choose one of these options: True or False. |
| WelcomeMessage | Sets the welcome message that users see when they log in to the application. Enter any text you want to display. |
| WFEmailAllowedDomains | Creates a safe list of email domains. Workflows (WF) can only send emails to addresses in these domains. Enter a comma-separated list of domains. For example: anaplan.com,yourcompany.com. |
| XL3DefaultServerOverride | Forces an Excel Add-in to connect to a specific server instead of the default. This is useful for testing. Enter the URL or name of a specific server. |
