Default grid properties in Anaplan XL Reporting enable grids to inherit predefined settings automatically within a workbook.

Default grid properties include selections from the following Grid Properties tabs:

  • Appearance
  • Behavior
  • Interactions
  • Lockdown
  • Commenting
  • Writeback
  • JSON

To access Grid properties, with a Grid report open:

  • Right-click over the grid, select Anaplan XL > Properties, and choose the Defaults tab.
  • Select the Grid tab > Properties in the Grid section.

Anaplan XL Reporting includes predefined Grid properties selections whenever a new workbook is created. When you update Grid properties, your changes will only affect the grid you're currently working on. To make these changes the standard for the entire workbook, you need to save them as the new default settings. This way, you can keep your preferred settings consistent across all grids in your workbook.

To save the updated selections:

1. Open the Defaults tab in the Grid Properties window.

2. Select Save Defaults.

Saved defaults can be applied to existing grids within the workbook:

  • To apply to all current grids within the workbook, select Apply To All Grids.
  • To apply to a single grid, open Grid Properties for that grid and select Load from Defaults.
  • Any new grids added to the workbook after saving the defaults will inherit those selections automatically.

Notes: Default properties apply only within the current workbook. Default properties don't include direct formatting, such as colors and fonts, applied to Anaplan XL grids. To apply consistent formatting across grids, use the XLCubedFormats tab.
