Explore various panel types that enhance user experience by displaying content such as HTML, images, lists, reports, and more on a Homepage. These panels make it easy to find and work with files and Workflow processes. This makes it easier to get and manage information.

The content for each panel varies depending on the type of panel. These tables describe the content parameters required for each type of panel.

You can use HTML panels to display custom HTML content. 

Upload the HTML contents to the file system as a generic file to create an HTML panel. Now select the file in Homepage Designer.

Images such as logos, graphics, and illustrations can be rendered on a Homepage. 

Upload the image to the file system as a generic file to create an image panel Now select the file in the Homepage Designer.

Image Link

Use the Image Link to specify a URL to link to when the user clicks on the image. 

For example, if the image is your company logo, the image link may link to your company's website.

List panels enable you to create a panel with a list of links that can link to URLs or other Financial Consolidation files. The list can include a folder structure to help categorize similar list items.

List Items

Use the List Items control to specify list items, their links and optionally categorize them into folders. 

  • Link to URL: Type the complete URL including the http:// or https:// .
  • Link to folder in Explorer: Type /explorer?openFso= followed by the folder path.
    Example: /explorer?openFso=/Consolidation/Input
  •  Link to File in Explorer: Type /explorer?openFso= followed by the folder path followed by the file name.
    Example: /explorer?openFso=/Consolidation/Input/Acquisition%20Balance%20Sheet

Replace spaces with %20.

Report panels are used to render Anaplan XL Reporting or PowerBI reports.

Upload the AnaplanXL or PowerBI report to the file system as a generic file to create a report panel. Now select the file in the Homepage Designer.

These panels contain a link to a folder in the Explorer or a file. These shortcuts enable you to quickly navigate to a folder or launch a file from the Homepage.

These panels are used to display simple text on a panel. 

Upload the text file to the file system as a generic file to create a text panel. Now select the file in the Homepage Designer.

These panels display workflow details in a table format similar to the Workflow Task List. You can select whether to show details for all assigned Workflows or a single Workflow while designing this type of ‌panel.

Use the dropdown to select any one of these options:

  • Compact: It renders the contributor list in compact mode. 
  • Standard - It renders the contributor list in Standard mode.
Show

Use the dropdown to specify whether details for all Workflows assigned to the user should be displayed or if details for a single Workflow should be displayed.

  • All: Displays details for all Workflow processes assigned.
  • Specific: Displays details for a single Workflow process .
FileIf Specific is selected in the Show dropdown list above, use the File Selector to select a workflow process file within Explorer.
Control TooltipText to appear in a tooltip as you hover your mouse over the panel.

This panel displays counters for the status of each task in all assigned Workflows or a specific Workflow. You can also show the number of tasks in a particular state, such as the number of Overdue tasks in ‌all assigned Workflows or a specific workflow. 

This panel is interactive. For example, when users select an Overdue status counter, they are connected to their Workflow Task List. The Workflow Task List is already filtered to show only tasks that are overdue.

Show

Use the dropdown to specify whether details for all Workflows assigned to the user should be displayed or if details for a single Workflow should be displayed.

  • All: Displays details for all Workflow processes assigned.
  • Specific: Displays details for a single Workflow process.

State

Specify which state should be included in the Workflow count. Usually, All is selected.

Control Tooltip

These panels display a diagram of a specific Workflow process. The diagram includes an indicator of the status of each task in the process. You can use this type of panel to give users the overall picture of the process they are involved in.

Use the ForEach task to create bursting workflows. This enables a single workflow to be applied across multiple business units. Define the workflow once, and select the business units to burst or cascade through. Homepage panels can be configured to display the status of each task by business unit.

Note: There can only be one Process Panel per Homepage. If a Process Panel and Workflow Status Panel are both included on the same Homepage, they must refer to the same Workflow. 

This panel displays a semi-circle graphical chart showing the percentage of Workflow Tasks per Owner in a specific Workflow.

Note: There can only be one Workflow Status Panel per Homepage. If a Process Panel and Workflow Status Panel are both included on the same Homepage, they must refer to the same Workflow.

This panel displays counters and team members for all assigned Workflows or a specific Workflow. 

This panel is interactive.

  • Select the Process to link to your Workflow Task List already filtered to show only tasks in the selected process.
  • Select a Status Counter to your Workflow Task List already filtered to show only tasks that are in the same state as the status selected.
  • Hover your mouse over the Team Members to view the team members involved in a workflow process either as an Owner, Supervisor, or Contributor.
