Integration administrators can share datasets from a home dataspace to a neighboring datapsace. They can share either source datasets or transformation views (also called derived datasets).

Once the dataset is shared, it is known as a virtual dataset in the neighboring dataspace.

You can share datasets from either the Source datasets screen or the Transformation views screen.

To share a dataset:

  1. Select Data Orchestrator from the top-left navigation menu.
  2. Choose a dataspace from the list.
  3. Expand All datasets from the left-side panel, and then select either Source datasets or Transformation views.
  4. Select the checkboxes next to the datasets you want to share.
  5. Select the Share icon at the top of the screen.
  6. Select the dataspaces you want to share the dataset with.
If you chose multiple datasets and you see a checkbox with a dash next to a dataspace, this icon means that at least one of your selected datasets was already shared with that dataspace. You can still choose that dataspace to share the other selected datasets with it.
  7. Select Share.

You can add or remove dataspaces after you share a dataset. To manage shared datasets from the home dataspace, see Manage shared datasets from a home dataspace.
