Integration administrators can manage shared datasets from Source datasets screen or the Transformation views screen in the home dataspace.
Once the dataset is shared, it is known as a virtual dataset in the neighboring dataspace. You can also manage virtual datasets from neighboring dataspaces.
Add additional neighboring dataspaces
After you share a dataset, you can share it with additional neighboring dataspaces.
To add neighboring dataspaces:
- Select a shared dataset row from either the Source datasets screen or the Transformation views screen.
- Select the Sharing tab from the right-side panel.
- Select Add dataspaces.
- Select the dataspaces you want to share the dataset with.
- Select Share.
Remove neighboring dataspaces
You can stop sharing a dataset with a neighboring dataspace by removing it from the shared dataset. If you remove a dataspace, this breaks any connection to dependent objects in that dataspace.
To remove a dataspace:
- Select a shared dataset row from either the Source datasets screen or the Transformation views screen.
- Select the Sharing tab from the right-side panel.
- Hover over a listed dataspace, and then select the minus icon that displays.
- Select Stop sharing to confirm.
View shared datasets
To find the datasets you shared from your home dataspace, you can apply these items to the Source datasets or Transformation views screens:
- Add a Sharing column.
- Apply a filter to show the source datasets or transformation views shared.
Add Sharing column
The Sharing column either displays the labels Shared or Not shared.
To show the Sharing column:
- Select Edit columns at the top-right corner of the Source datasets screen or the Transformation views screen.
- Select Sharing from the Edit columns panel, and then select Apply.
Apply shared filter
You can also apply a filter to show only the source datasets and transformation views that were shared from the home dataspace.
To filter the shared datasets:
- Select the Filter icon from the toolbar on the Source datasets screen or the Transformation views screen.
- Expand the Shared section from the Filter panel on the right.
- Select Shared With Dataspace, and then select Apply.
