By default, slicer selections are applied immediately and refresh any connected grids, charts, or Excel ranges.
You can control when updates apply.
To defer applying slicer updates:
- Right-click inside the workbook slicer pane.
- Enable Toggle Apply Options.
This displays:
- An Apply immediately checkbox
- An Apply button
When you select Apply immediately, changes take effect immediately upon making a slicer selection. When you clear Apply immediately, Anaplan XL stages your selections until you select Apply. This can make it easier and faster to use when multiple slicers run the same report. This can help you avoid refreshing the report while making choices.
