We're excited to have launched some great new features this month, including updates to the User Experience and PlanIQ capabilities.
Released in April
User Experience
New card setting - Sync on selection: Builders can now configure whether clicking a grid header or a chart series will update the page context to the selected item. For example clicking May 2022 on a grid will update the context to that month so all cards will reflect this month. This is often the desired behaviour and remains the default. However there is now a setting to disable this update in cases where this is not required reducing the need to load the data and potentially confusing the user if this is not the desired behaviour.
Intelligence
Backtest reimport: PlanIQ backtest import allows planners to evaluate forecast model performance using historical data. PlanIQ now allows the users to re-import the backtest data in case this is needed. More information on backtest is available in Anapedia.

Extensibility Updates
Transactional APIs: Large volume read APIs allow customers to export any-sized data from Anaplan modules and lists. They can effectively replace the Export actions that we have now. These are our follow-up to our limited volume data read Transactional APIs that could read up to 1M cells from a module or 1M items from a list. These large volume APIs will be ideal for larger data loads and will be eventually supported by our wide range of connectors. We will be releasing large volume read APIs that will allow users to:
- Trigger large volume List read
- Monitor large volume List read tasks
- Download pages from large volume List read
- Clear up intermediate space (an explicit Delete call)
Targeted for May

User Experience
Synchronize scroll: We are introducing a synchronize scroll setting on grids for Boards and Worksheets. Once enabled for a group of grids it will synchronize the scroll across grids either vertically or horizontal allowing you to align the data across rows or columns between the grids providing the data set is the same. This will make reviewing and editing your data across multiple grids a much better user experience.
Collaboration
In-product notifications for scheduled maintenance windows: We’re enhancing our collaboration capabilities to more directly share information about planned events, such as scheduled maintenance windows or releases. We’re excited to announce that in-product notifications for all Anaplan planned downtime releases is targeted to launch in May 2022. With in-product notifications, we’ll be able to more proactively and directly alert our users about planned events with a single source of truth. This gives our users a simple way to gain greater visibility into upcoming planned downtimes, so they can plan accordingly and maximize the value of their time spent working in Anaplan.

Upcoming scheduled maintenance:
- May 14: Platform offline: Platform enhancements.
- May 21: Platform offline: Infrastructure update.
