You can push updated datasets from Anaplan Data Orchestrator to an Anaplan model with your created links. To update the model data, you can choose whether to upsert (update existing data and insert new data) or replace the data. The model data that's updated are members of a list in the model and their associated module data.

A link is created with the upsert update type by default. The upsert update type uploads revised data that exists in both the revised Data Orchestrator dataset and in the model. It also inserts new data from the dataset that doesn't exist in the model.

If data exists in the model but doesn't exist in the revised dataset, the upsert update type doesn't remove data from the model.

To keep the upsert update type and push the revised data to model:

  1. Select Data Orchestrator from the top-left navigation menu.
  2. Select Links on the left-side panel.
  3. Select a link row.
The Information panel on the right opens.
  4. Select Push data.

To view the updated data in the model, open the updated list in the model and select Refresh.

If you change the link update type to replace, the data in the model is replaced with a new dataset from Data Orchestrator.

New data in the dataset is added to the model. Data that exists in both the model and the dataset are retained and updated.

Data that exists in the model, but doesn't exist in the dataset, is deleted from the model. When list members are deleted, it also removes associated data from modules that use the list as a dimension.

To change the update type to replace and push the updated data to a model:

  1. Select a link row, and then in the right-side panel select replace from the Update type dropdown.
  2. Select Push data.
Before the data push completes, you can review the records that'll be added, deleted, and updated. If the updates look correct, select Push data again to continue with the data push. Otherwise, select Back to cancel the operation.

To view the updated data in the model, open the updated list in the model and select Refresh.
