Configure the model calendar type to Weeks: 13 4-week Periods if your source data is daily or weekly. This calendar type sets up the model calendar with 13 four-week periods.

Note: PlanIQ doesn't support calendar periods in the data, such as P1 FY15.

To configure Weeks: 13 4-week Periods:

  1. Select Time  in the model settings bar.
  2. Select Weeks: 13 4-week Periods from Calendar Type dropdown.
  3. For your source data and forecast results, use these settings:
    • End of Fiscal Year is: Select the Last radio button and set the date as Last Sat in Dec.
    • Current Fiscal Year: Select a date range that includes when your actual data set ends. This date must align with historical data.
    • Number of Past Years: Enter the length of your historical data.
    • Number of Future Years: Enter your forecast horizon. This is the length of time you want your predictions to cover.

Important: The Number of Past Years and the Number of Future Years should cover the whole length of your historical data and the forecast horizon. This makes sure your predictions can be imported into your forecast results module.
  4. Complete any other fields that remain.
See Set the Weeks: 13 4-week Period calendar.
  5. Select Apply.
If you need to forecast for a different amount of time, you can return to your model calendar and adjust the settings to match your new forecast horizon.
