Enter data in translated currency
You can enter data directly into a translated currency member in two situations.
Entity that is set up to translate local currency to translated currency
It isn't recommended to enter data directly into a translated currency member for translated entities. All data should be added in local currency. Anaplan Financial Consolidation translates local currency into reporting currency.
If there's a situation where an adjustment is required in translated currency only, it's recommended that these adjustments be made in an Audit member that's not translated.
Loading local currency and translated currency
In certain situations, you may want to load Trial Balance data in local and translated currency. In this situation, it is recommended that an Audit member be created for this purpose and set up not to translate by setting the Audit Converted attribute for that Audit member to False.
Acquisition Balance Sheet
Acquisition Balance Sheet data is usually entered in both local and translated currency using the standard input form Acquisition Balance Sheet and entered into the Business Acquisition Movement member. In this situation, the conversion rule is set up not to calculate the translated amount but to retrieve the amount that's been entered into the database.
