The example tracks detailed segment data directly at the entry stage using two separate dimensions. It uses two dimensions in which a single entity operates and transacts across multiple business lines.
The model contains the Entity, Group, Segment, and PartnerSegment dimensions with hierarchies.
Sample data
In the example, an entity (110) enters data with Segment and Partner Segment. The system posts elimination entries according to Intrasegment member ElimSegment A or Intersegment member Elim Inter Segment. Additionally, the system generates additional records based on the alternate segment hierarchy for location as well.
