Before you start

  • Contact the Anaplan administrator for a list of users to enable ‌the Anaplan tab in Salesforce.
  • Ensure that each Salesforce Username matches the user's Anaplan login name.

For example, if a user's Anaplan login name is jd@abc.com, the Salesforce Username must also be jd@abc.com, even if the work email address is jonathan@abc.com.

Get the Salesforce user IDs

  1. Navigate to Setup > Administration Setup > Manage Users > Users.
  2. From the list you received from the Anaplan administrator, select a user you want to enable for the Salesforce - Anaplan integration.
  3. Copy the user ID to a separate file because you'll need to provide it to the Anaplan administrator.
The user ID is the part of the URL after salesforce.com/ and before ?
  4. Repeat the previous steps for each user that belongs to the list you received from the Anaplan administrator.

Get the Organization ID from Salesforce

  1. Go to Setup.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Administration Setup > Company Profile > Company Information.
  3. Copy the Organization ID to a separate file so you can provide it to the Anaplan administrator.

Provide your Anaplan Administrator and Anaplan Support with the enabled Salesforce user list, user IDs, organization ID, and provisioning method.

  • The corresponding Salesforce ID for each user.

  • Whether you performed manual or API-based user provisioning.

Ensure that each Salesforce Username matches the user's Anaplan login name.
