An ADO Import task is a non-interactive workflow task that pulls data from Anaplan Data Orchestrator (ADO).

The data to retrieve is specified by the Dataset name and is inserted into a Financial Consolidation and Reporting staging table.

Configuration pane parameters

The key parameters include:

Dataset

Select the dataset to retrieve from the Data Orchestrator.

Select from the list of Datasets and Data Transformation Views.

Staging Table

Specify the FCR table to store the data.

  • If the staging table doesn't exist, the table will be created  with the proper columns. FCR uses the column names and data types defined in Data Orchestrator.
  • If the staging table exists, it'll be dropped and recreated.
Advance RuleSpecify how to advance to the task. The default is All predecessors have completed. 

Configure a ADO Import task

To configure the ADO Import task:

  1. Drag the ADO Import task onto the Workflow Editor canvas to add it.
    Find the ADO Import task in the Application section of the Workflow toolbox.
  2. Select the ADO Import task and select the Edit icon to edit the parameters in the Task Configuration pane. 
  3. Fill in the required parameters. 
  4. Select OK to apply changes in the Task Configuration pane. 
  5. Select Save to save the workflow.
  6. Select Play in the Workflow Editor toolbar to start the workflow.
