Change the parent of a list item

Change the parent of list items to ensure list items are in the correct hierarchies.

You can change the parent for list items only in lists that you have write access for.

To change the parent for one or more list items:

  1. Select a list item by clicking into the row or column header.
  2. Right-click to display the worksheet context menu.
  3. Choose Change Parent.
    The Change Parent dialog displays.
  4. Select a new parent item from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click Change Parent.
