Each staging table should have a corresponding transaction table that is a duplicate of the staging table. It isn't recommended to create a transaction table like the staging table‌. ‌Instead, you should duplicate the staging table to create the transaction table.

To create a transaction table:

  1. Select Configure in the navigation pane.
  2. Select Staging Tables, then go to the staging table you ‌created, for example, Cash_GL_Staging.
  3. Select the ellipsis, and choose Duplicate.
  4. Rename the duplicated table, replacing the term Staging with Transaction, for example, Cash_GL_Transaction.
In the duplicate table, eventually, you'll see two gray columns: _MatchID and _ImportDate. These fields are generated by the system and can't be modified. They're added via a stored procedure during the data input workflow. Additionally, if there's no transaction ID, Anaplan will automatically create one during this process.
  5. Select OK.
