You can clone an Anaplan connection to duplicate the connection and copy cell data into a new worksheet. If you edit the data in the new worksheet, the data in the original worksheet remains unchanged.
You must be signed in to the Google Sheets Add-on to clone a connection.
You must be the connection owner to clone a connection.
If you are not the connection owner, the add-on features are grayed out, and a message displays the name of the connection owner in the sidebar. If you only want to edit the data in a new worksheet, ask the connection owner to clone the connection. If you want to use Add-on functions, you can create a new connection in another spreadsheet.
Note: if you clone a read-write connection, the new connection is also read-write. You can use the cloned read-write connection to update Anaplan. If you want to create a read-only connection with the same connection details, create a new connection in another worksheet.
To clone a connection:
- Go to the Anaplan sidebar.
- Click Clone connection.
The Anaplan connection and cell data copy into a new sheet.
The new sheet is given the same name as the original sheet, with a number at the end. For example, Sheet name (1). You can rename the cloned worksheet at any time without affecting the connection.
