You may also need to enter override rates, but they aren't mandatory. The Foreign Exchange Override Rates web form stores override rates. These rates override the global rates for specific intersections. For example, customers may need to use override rates for Equity accounts, such as Dividends and Common Stock, when a spot rate is required rather than Global Rates.

To access the form:

  1. Select the Maintain module.
  2. Select the Foreign Exchange Override rates form within the Conversion card.

The form contains columns:

Note:

  • The Foreign Exchange Rate and Foreign Exchange Override Rates web forms replace the legacy forms in Explorer. The Add-in isn't required to view and input exchange rates.
  • The Override FX Rate legacy XML form is no longer available. Update and point to the new editor version of the forms for existing workflows or homepages with links to the .xml form.
  • Users with the Admin or Administrator role will automatically have read access to the Foreign Exchange Override Rates web editor. Additional access for other roles can be set in the Role Authorizations tab of the Security module.
  • For override rates to work, it isn't mandatory to enter all the fields. Only key fields are needed, such as Rate, Base currency, reporting currency, scenario, date, entity, account, etc. Anaplan Financial Consolidation will apply the same override rate for all the dimension members in the fields that are left blank.
