This dropdown presents a list of actions that you can perform after an aggregation (or other data manipulation) is complete. The purpose of these actions is to further refine or process the results of the aggregation.
Option | Description |
Rank result | Orders the members based on a specified metric. The order of display is then rearranged. |
Filter result | Allows you to include only certain members based on criteria you set. This filters the visible members. |
Sort result | Sorts the members alphabetically (ascending or descending) or by another criterion. |
Member search | Enables swift location of specific members through a search query. |
Outlier Grouping | Enables you to group members based on their deviation from the average or other statistical measure. |
Subset | Creates a subset or filtered view of the members. The original members remain, and a new selection is created. |
NonEmpty | Displays only those members with non-zero values. |
Exists | Displays solely those members with associated data, which may differ from NonEmpty based on the intricacies of your data structure. |
Distinct | Eliminates any duplicate members from the selection. |
Aggregate Members | Enables you to aggregate selected members into a single summary. |
Edit | Enables the modification of the selected member(s) properties. |
Remove item | Deletes the selected member(s). This action is irreversible. |
After selecting the options, select Apply.
Next to the Aggregate dropdown, are three icons:
- Hide levels - hides hierarchical levels.
- Import using query - import members using a Multidimensional Expression (MDX) query from selected members on columns.
- Add - Apply one of the actions listed in the above table that can further refine the results. Or select an option under the Add new section, which opens a new window for adding new members to the chart:
