If you're a workspace administrator and page builder, you can manage which user roles have access to a page.

These updates to access management are in early access version, and are only available to participants of the Early Access (EA) program.

By default, all users with access to the source model used in a page have access to it. As a workspace administrator, you can restrict access via the Restrict access tab in Page settings.

You must be a workspace administrator and in designer mode for the page for the Restrict access tab to display. The Full Access role requires unrestricted access, so you can't remove access for the Full Access role. You can't restrict your own role unless you have enabled multiple source models for the page.

Pages display with an ARCHIVED badge if the source model is archived, and page builders aren't able to manage access for these pages.

Warning:  If you've associated models with the page that do not have compatible data structures, some roles may not be available to restrict at the page level. Always prepare models for use as part of the same ALM workflow before you associate them with a page.

To edit cards, select Edit to open your page in designer mode.

Select Save to save as a draft, or Publish to publish the page.

Access restrictions applied to ‌model data still apply.

To restrict access to a page:

  1. On the top-right of the page, select Page options > Page settings.
You can also hover over the page name in the app table of contents and select Edit or Edit options > Page settings.
  2. On the Page settings dialog, select the Restrict access tab.
If all users have access, Restrict access will be switched off.
If access has already been restricted, Restrict access shows as active. A role list displays for the models where you're a workspace administrator.
  3. Switch Restrict access on.
A roles list displays for the models where you're a workspace administrator.
You can enter a role in the Find field to search for a particular role within the full list.
  4. Select the roles to assign page access. You can select different access levels for each role:
    • View: Users with this role can view the page.
Check the box next to View in the column header to give all roles View access only.
    • Edit: Users with this role can view and edit the page in the page designer.
Check the box next to Edit in the column header to give all roles view and edit access.
  5. Optionally, deselect any specific roles to remove page access.
  6. Select Apply.

Note: Only users with the page builder role assigned can be granted edit access to a page.
