If enabled by your page builder, you can run actions from a card to quickly complete business processes. You can run import and export, data write, notifications, and process actions. For example, you can import and export data, or add a new item to a list.
Export actions to export a chart card as an image or the current view of a grid card, are always available. These actions are available even if not enabled by your page builder.
Run actions from a card
To run actions from a card:
- Hover over your card and select More menu then select the action you want to run. Imports and Exports only display if enabled by your page builder.
- Select the button to complete the action.
- Select Close .
Note: Import actions in the user experience behave differently from the modeling experience. In the user experience, the import:
- Is always private.
- Data source doesn't save to the model. This means that every time you run an import, you will be asked to choose a file and upload it again.
- Doesn't replace or alter any imports set up in the model.
Run actions on an action card
To run an action on an action card, select an action on your page. The steps to run the action depend on what type of action you want to run. For example, import, export, process, data write, forecast, form, assign, or notification action.
When you run the action, any relevant changes are visible on your page.
