The Anaplan XL Scheduling Service can be run in non-service mode, if necessary, when using the SQL Repository.

This can be helpful when you need to run schedules for multiple websites or where it better suits your infrastructure. Schedules can be sent manually or timed using Windows Task Scheduler.

After setting up the scheduler in the normal way, you will need to run the executable with a special command-line parameter to check for new schedules to run:

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\AnaplanXLWeb\Scheduler\AnaplanXL.Scheduling.Service.exe /RUNPENDING

The Run whether the user is logged on or not, the option should be used. The Log on as a batch job right should be granted to the scheduling user.

As with the regular Scheduling Service, the person who runs the schedules must have enough permissions to access all the relevant folders, databases, and cubes. Review SQL Repository for details.
