Context selectors display by default when you add a card with a view that has one or more dimensions on pages.
If you do not want users to change the context, you can disable a context selector, so that only the current value of that dimension displays. You can also hide a context selector so it's not visible to users.
You can display context selectors on all card types except for action cards.
To edit cards, select Edit to open your page in designer mode.
Select Save to save as a draft, or Publish to publish the page.
The view you use to create your card must display at least one dimension as a context selector, or use a list that contains a hierarchy in rows or columns.
- If you choose a view from Manage views or you design a Custom view, your view must have a dimension in Pages for the dimension to be available as a context selector.
- If you select a view that has a list with a hierarchy in the rows or columns, you can enable Hierarchy filter to function as a context selector.
Enable a context selector
To enable a context selector, select Context selector settings > Selector.
To enable a list hierarchy as a context selector, when you configure context selectors for your card, toggle Hierarchy filter to the right.
Disable a context selector
To disable a context selector, select Context selector settings > Label.
The name of the context selector displays as a label and users cannot view or select any other value.
Hide a context selector
To hide a context selector, select Context selector settings > Off.
You can only configure the context selector if you toggle Show on card to the right again.
Reset context selectors
To reset context selectors that are synced to the page, select Reset on the toolbar.
