Workspace administrators can change the source of a model-to-model import in the Source models pane of the target model.

You must have access to both the target and source workspaces and models.

The source model and target model must share the same structural information. For example, the models can differ in lists set as production data, but any lists not set as production data must be the identical.

Ensure the source and target models are in standard or deployed mode.

Note: Any lists, module, or saved view you use as a source must have a unique name in the source workspace to ensure the data imports correctly.

To change the source in a model-to-model import:

  1. In the Source models pane, select the mapping you want to remap.
  2. Select Edit Mapping in the toolbar at the top.
  3. Select the workspace that contains the new source from the Workspace dropdown.
  4. Select a model from the Model list, then select OK.
  5. Select OK to confirm you want to change the source.
    • You can select a Don't ask me again checkbox and the confirmation message will not display the next time you change a source.

To remove a source:

  1. In the Source models pane select the mapping you want to remove.
  2. Select Remove Mapping in the toolbar at the top.
  3. Select OK to confirm you want to remove the source.
    • You can select a Don't ask me again checkbox and the confirmation message will not display the next time you change a source.

If you remove a source, the mapping remains in the Source models pane, but the Mapped to field is blank. You can select Edit Mapping to add a new source just as you would to change the source.
