The table below summarizes the settings and components that make up a model’s structural information. It also explains any exceptions that are treated as production data.
Use the tables below as a reference when you work with model data.
Changes to a model’s structural information are:
- Captured by adding revision tags.
- Included when synchronizing changes to a compatible target model.
- Included when comparing one revision tag with another.
- Not allowed when a model is in Deployed mode.

Imports and import data source (IDS) definitions | If an import is marked as production data, these attributes are treated as production data:
If an IDS definition is marked as production data, these attributes are treated as production data:
Newly created production IDS definitions and imports can be synced from a source to a target model. For example, from your development to your production model. After the initial sync, only renamed or deleted IDS definitions or imports are included in a sync. |

Production lists | These elements of production lists are production data:
Additionally, if selective access is enabled on a production list, the Read or Write access for particular users is production data. If selected as the List format of a non-production list, a production list is treated as production data. As a result, list items aren't sychronized between models. |

Workflow | Workflow states for list items in workflow-enabled lists. |
Users Tab
All available options on the main Users tab in Model Settings > Users > Users, are treated as production data.
User Interaction with Structural Information in Deployed Mode
The following table describes how users can interact with structural information when working in models in Deployed mode.
Structural Information | In models in Deployed mode, end users and Workspace Administrators can… |
Actions | Run actions from dashboards, including processes, imports, or exports. |
Modules and saved views | Update cell values manually or by importing data. Change the formatting and appearance of saved views (for example, by pivoting dimensions) but cannot save any changes. |
Line items | Set up, enable, or disable conditional formatting for line items, but cannot save any changes. |
Dashboards | Interact with dashboard elements, but cannot save any changes. Caution: Although Dashboard Designer is available in models in Deployed mode, users are prevented from saving any changes. |
History | View and export the model's change history, but cannot save the export as an Action for later use. In the History dialog, the Save Options checkbox is unavailable. |
Production lists | Change the contents and property values of production lists as detailed in the Structural Information Reference table above. Export production lists |
Lists (not marked as production lists) | Export lists |
