Review different Audit dimension properties that play an important role in Anaplan Financial Consolidation.

This property works with the Calculation Rules form. It decides if calculation rules should be calculated on a specific Audit member.

For example, you set up a set of rules for how to calculate cash flow. These rules are then used to calculate specific cash flow accounts. Customers may want to turn off the calculation of cash flow for certain Audit members, such as Cash Flow Non-Cash Reclassification and Cash Flow Presentation Reclassification. These members are used for manual input and don't need cash flow calculations.

This property is used to define if a consolidation rule should be calculated on specific Audit members. To start:

  • Yes: Any Audit member that is not calculated using a consolidation rule should be set to Yes.
  • No:  Any audit member that is calculated using a consolidation rule should be set to No.

This property is used to define which audit members will be converted. Calculations are divded into two groups:

Property settingDescription
Calculation First set to YesThe rule will only be calculated on the Value Dataview. For these rules, the Converted property for the Audit member being calculated should be set to Yes. Rules that are Calculation First will be run first when running the Run All process.
Calculation First set NoThe rule will be calculated on all Dataview members (Value, Converted, Consolidated, Calculated). For these rules, the Converted property for the Audit member being calculated should be set to No.

This property is used to determine if the calculation Current Year Net Income (CYNI) should be applied to an Audit member. Rule of thumb should be Yes, except for the StockholderEquity Audit member. There may be other times when the CYNI calculation shouldn't be done for a certain Audit member. This property can be changed accordingly.

This property is used in European consolidation to view a contribution report that shows the previous level. This property can be left blank in consolidation systems that don’t require contribution reporting.

This property is used in various input templates and also in the journal entry module to restrict the input to certain Audit members that are set to Manual. Calculated Audit members are filtered out from the available Audit members.

Property settingDescription
ManualThis property should be set for all Audit members that are valid for journal entries.
InputThis property should be set for all Audit members that are input using the available input forms in the system.
AutomaticThis property should be set for all Audit members that are calculated by the system.
