In series 4 of the Excel Add-in, you can disable the add-in to hide the Anaplan ribbon while the add-in remains installed on your computer. To display the ribbon again, enable the add-in. 

To enable or disable the add-in:

  1. In Excel, select File > Options.
  2. On the Excel Options dialog, select Add-ins.
  3. From the Manage dropdown, choose Excel Add-ins, then select Go....
  4. Select Anaplan Excel Add-in to enable the add-in, or deselect it to disable the add-in.
  5. Select OK.

If you want to permanently remove the add-in, uninstall it in Windows.
