You can enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your tenant from the Administrator console. MFA is an extra layer of verification to ensure your identity when you login.
Prerequisite
You must be a tenant security administrator to enable MFA.
Enable MFA
To enable MFA:
- Select Administration from the top-left navigation menu.
- Select Settings > Login from the left-side panel.
- Turn on the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) switch.
- Select Enable in the dialog to confirm.
After MFA is enabled, users must download an authenticator app to log in with basic authentication (email address and password). For a list of supported authenticator apps, see Multi-factor authentication for Anaplan login.
Disable MFA
To disable MFA:
- Turn off the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) switch.
- Select Disable MFA in the dialog to confirm.
If you turn off MFA, users won’t need an authenticator app to log in with basic authentication. We don't recommend that you turn off MFA.
Be aware that if you turn off MFA, the risks for unauthorized access increase.
Tenant settings
Note that for all tenants you can access, the MFA prompt status is based on your default tenant settings:
- If MFA is enabled on your default tenant, you are always prompted to log in with MFA.
You will be prompted to log in with MFA, even if MFA is disabled on the tenant you're trying to access. - If MFA is disabled on your default tenant, you'll never be prompted to log in with MFA.
You won't be prompted to log in with MFA, even if MFA is enabled on the tenant you're trying to access.
