There are some small differences between the functionality available in Polaris and the Classic engine.
Polaris benefits from modeling optimizations over the Classic Engine. For example, Polaris only calculates intersections at the aggregate level when needed, a feature named On-demand Calculation. This reduces model size and improves calculation performance.
Some calculation functions have slightly different behavior in Polaris compared to the Classic Engine. Most of the time, these differences are small, but some functions do not work with Polaris. Learn more about how the calculation functions work with the engines.
