Compare members in your base hierarchy with those in an alternate hierarchy. This allows for quick verification that you have mapped the correct members to the desired alternate hierarchy structures.

You can create alternate hierarchy structures in any dimension. This allows you to organize members in the base dimension into alternate rollups. For example, entities in the base dimension can roll up in their legal structure, ‌in an alternate hierarchy they can be organized by region.

Compare Type

Select from these options:

  • Base to Alternate
  • Alternate to Base

You can compare what's in the base hierarchy to what you've selected in the alternate hierarchy, depending on the choice selected. Alternatively, you can compare the alternate hierarchy to what you have selected in your base hierarchy.

For example:

  • If you want to make sure all the members in your base hierarchy selected structure are mapped to the alternate hierarchy selected structure, you would choose Base to Alternate.
  • If you want to make sure what is in your selected alternate hierarchy is also in your selected base hierarchy, you would select Alternate to Base.
