User administrators can create API keys. You can use API keys to control access to Anaplan APIs.

Tenant security administrators must first enable the create of API keys.

Note: You can create up to 10 API keys. If you reached the limit, you must delete an API key to create new keys.

To create SCIM API keys:

  1. Select Administration from the top-left dropdown menu.
  2. Select Security > API keys.
  3. Select Create key.
  4. Enter a label for the API key.
  5. Enter the number of days the key can be used before it expires.
    Note: The default length that displays is set by your tenant security administrator.
  6. Select Create key.
  7. Select Copy API key.

Warning: Make sure you copy and save the displayed API key. The API key only displays once and won't display on the API keys page. If you don't save the API key and you need it later, you must create a new key.

  1. Select Done.
