A Start Anaplan Workflow task enables seamless initiation of Anaplan Planning workflows without requiring user interaction.
Configuration pane parameters
The key parameters include:
| Parameter | Description |
| Name | Enter the name that appears on the task. |
| Source | Select the Anaplan Data Source created earlier. |
| Workflow | Select an Anaplan Planning workflow from the dropdown. |
| Workflow Name | Enter a name for the workflow instance. |
| Wait until complete | Select to specify if the workflow being called should run in asynchronous or synchronous mode. If selected, the current workflow process will wait until the Anaplan Planning workflow completes. If not selected, the current workflow process will continue immediately after the Start FPC Workflow task is called. |
| Advance Rule | Specify how to advance to the task. The default is All predecessors have completed. |
Configure a Start Anaplan Workflow task
To configure the Start Anaplan Workflow task:
- Find the Start Anaplan Workflow task in the Application section of the Workflow toolbox. Drag the Start Anaplan Workflow task onto the Workflow Editor canvas to add it.
- Select the Start Anaplan Workflow task and select the Edit icon to edit the parameters in the Task Configuration pane.
- Fill in the required parameters.
- Select OK to apply changes in the Task Configuration pane.
- Select Save to save the workflow.
- Select Play in the Workflow Editor toolbar to start the workflow.
