Format business charts

Format various business charts.

In the Dynamic Chart ribbon you can turn on Message: formatting. This applies to the IBCS style of formatting. You can remove the value axis and show data labels.

Modify chart formats by accessing the formatting task pane .

The right-click menu offers direct formatting on areas of the chart. Category formatting applies to all series in the category. Data Point formatting only applies to the series you choose to include in that category.

Business Rules apply automatically to the solid/outlined/hatched styles, but these options enable finer control over the formatting of individual categories.

By selecting the Category > Customise... or Point > Data Point options, you can configure individual formatting options. Apply to following points makes the formatting apply to all points after the current one. This means you don't need to set the same formatting twice.

You can modify the edit series':

• color
• border color
• border style
• border width
• fill pattern
• marker color
• marker style
• marker size
• marker border color
• marker border width

Once you select the formatting changes, select Apply to following points on the Edit Series window.
