Create a read and/or write profile for any data model in your tenant. Customize profiles based on user roles to decide which dimensions or members a user can read, write, or can't access.

Make Journal Entry (JE) safer by using the security settings for the model's read and write security profiles in the Journal module. This feature ensures users are restricted from querying or editing journals for members to which they lack access.  

To enable journal entry security:

  1. Navigate to the Explorer module, expand Global > Administration, and open the Settings form.
  2. Add ModelSecurity and Journals to the FeatureFlagsCommaSeparated setting.
  3. Set the JESecurity value to true in the Settings form.
Ensure Journal Configuration is set up
  1. The tenant must have a journal configuration created during implementation.
  2. Open or create the journal entry configuration in the Configure module.
  3. Only users with the Manage Settings role authorization within configuration in security can create or edit journal entries configuration.
Assign Role Authorizations
  1. Ensure that roles are setup in the Security module before creating a profile.
  2. Configure role authorizations for journal entries for each role within the Security module.
Create and enable Read and Write security profiles for the modelCreate and enable Read and Write profiles by navigating to the Models module and selecting the Security icon.
