Within a report, comments will appear as a red indicator on the relevant cell(s). You can see the comment itself when hovering over the cell, and then choosing comment from the menu.
Often, having the relevant comments fully visible on the report can be helpful. In other cases, you may want to report only on the comments to see all comments for specific parts of the data. For example, all comments about a specific product, time period, or the last 24 hours.
This is achieved through Comment Frames. A Comment Frame allows for the display of comments within a report and can be used in 2 main ways:
- Tied to a specified Grid, where they display all comments for the Grid, filtered by the current selections in place.
- Tied to an Excel range containing uniquenames. Typically this approach would be used to display either higher-level comments, or to build a report directly on the comments users have entered.
Comment frames are added from the Visualise menu. Review Comment Frame for more details.
