Create a data collection to group data from your source modules. This is the first step in the PlanIQ flow.

After you've created the modules (Stage 1) and actions (Stage 2), set up a data collection (Stage 3, Step 1).

Assembly

The data collection assembly includes the steps below.

  1. Data export: Export actions pull data from the source modules. You must wait until the export completes before you can make any changes to the underlying models. Exports are typically quick to run.
  2. Validation checks: PlanIQ verifies that the data is in the correct format, and identifies its time scale and any potential errors.

Once the assembly completes, the data collection is ready for use in forecast models.

Data collections list

The Data collections list has all of your data collections, with their name, creation time, and status (running, ready or failed). For more information about a data collection, select it and see the inspector on the right. Select the ellipsis menu for more options.

Inspector panel

The inspector panel has two tabs:

    • Overview: Shows the supported forecast time interval, last rerun of data assembly, and lists the forecast models that use the data collection. The Overview tab also lists any warning and error messages.
    • Properties: Shows the data source, time scale, time range, and data mapping information for each data type used in the data collection.

Ellipsis menu ...

The menu includes four options:

    • Rerun data assembly: If there are any warnings or errors, you can rerun the data assembly. The rerun may resolve them.
    • Delete: Delete the data collection.
    • Duplicate: Duplicate the data collection to edit the data types, source, time scale, or data mapping.
    • Email support: Send details to the Anaplan support team.
