In the Administration console, tenant administrators can turn on a switch that enables only tenant security administrators to assign exception users in Administration. Exception users are users that can log in to Anaplan with either single sign-on (SSO) or basic authentication (email address and password).
Default settings
By default, the switch is turned off.
When the switch is off, workspace administrators can assign exception users from within models.
Turn on the switch
You must be a tenant administrator to turn on the switch.
If you turn on the switch:
- Workspace administrators are unable to assign exception users within models.
- Only tenant security administrators can assign exception users in Administration.
To turn on exception user assignment in Administration only:
- Select Administration from the top-left navigation menu.
- Select Settings from the left-side panel.
- Select Users and roles.
- Turn on the Limit exception user assignment to Administration only switch.
Turn off the switch
If you want workspace administrators to assign exception users within models only, turn off the Limit exception user assignment to Administration only switch.
