Configure combined grids to view multiple modules in a single grid on boards and worksheets.

Select Edit this page in the toolbar to open your page in designer mode.

To configure a combined grid:

  1. In the Overview tab of the Card configuration panel, select a View
  2. Select a module from Custom view as your data source.
  3. Select Add grid section .
  4. In the Grid Sections panel, select a Module from the dropdown.   
    Only modules with the same dimensions in rows display. 
  5. Select one or more Dimensions from the dropdown. These are added to your grid as columns.
  6. You can select Add grid sections in the panel to add up to five additional grids to your combined grid.
    Unused dimensions inherited from your additional selected modules become context selectors. 
  7. Select Apply > Update.  
  8. You can set the style of your grid.

To remove an additional grid, select the , or remove all additional grids by selecting Remove all sections, then Apply

Work with filters on your grids to change the data that displays based on certain conditions. 

To filter a combined grid:

  1. On the Custom view tab of the View dialog, select the module to add a filter to.
  2. Select Filter .
  3. Select Rows or Columns to select the axis to filter.
  4. Select a Grid section from the dropdown. 
  5. From the Show items that match dropdown, select:
    • All to display items that match all your filter rules.
    • Any to display items that match any of your filter rules.
  6. Select Add rule. 
  7. Optionally, select a module from the Current module dropdown. This dropdown is available when you filter a list, time, or version.
  8. From the Select line item dropdown, select a line item to filter. 
  9. Select a filter condition.
  10. From the Filter context dropdown, select the dimensions for the filter rule to apply to.
  11. Select Apply.

Use the pivot panel to set context selectors, or reconfigure your combined grid.

To use the pivot panel:

  1. Select or hover over a grid to reveal its toolbar, and select Edit .
    The Card configuration panel displays.
  2. In the Overview tab, select View designer.
  3. In View designer, select Pivot above the grid.
    The Pivot data panel displays.
  4. You can see separate column fields for each grid section, and each dimension option for each grid section is labeled with a different color.  
  5. You can:
    • Drag and drop dimension options into the Context selectors field to set them as your context selector. 
      If you put more than one identical dimension from different grid sections into the Context selector field, they'll be combined into one context selector. For example, if two grids in your combined grid contain the time dimension, and both are put into the Context selectors field, only a single Time context selector will display.
    • Rearrange the layout of your grid by reordering the dimension options within the column field for its section. 

Note: Row dimension options can't be used as context selectors or moved into columns.
